Paint The Target

New year, new target! Here’s to a whole new world of painting opportunities, my dear Losties! Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Target series throughout 2016. Your entries have made me smile, and I’ve had a lot of fun mailing goodies out for our monthly winners. You’ve all helped make this all the more special. Now, let’s see what folks decided to end the year with, before announcing 2017’s first challenge!

From Miguel, it’s the Superior Spider-Man! The twist on the classic superhero received mixed reviews from the reading public, but the real test is how well he plays in the Marvel Universe Miniatures Game 😉

Ninja Steve upped his festive game with a Fell Jingler!

What are you lookin’ at, bub? It’s just Ragnarok’s Wolverine.

Shadowsword’s Erebus uses wicked talons to divide its victims souls and their corporeal forms.

There were many awesome photos of Strigiform’s Archangel, and they all made me think of Jabberwocky…

Tyrant Mithras’ Zaadesh is all tyranting up the place. His favourite pokemon is Tyrantrum.

I’m not 100%  convinced Dicewraith understood that the challenge was for models with cutting and piercing weapons… I guess a boltgun counts as piercing?

Dieson’s Khador expands with Vlad2 camouflaging with the icy rocks of his homeland.

Gramut’s trolls continue to astound. Horgle the Anvil – Smash & Burn, Baby

Logan’s Joan of Arc dares you to even *try* burning her for heresy.

Eyes like a hawk, that Lonelymonk. Or at least, painted models like a Hawk 😉

And we round it out with Lord Gorilla’s Cygnar battlebox!

DECEMBER WINNER!

You know one of the  best things about this series? I get to give prizes to people just for playing. I don’t care if you’re an amazing painter or not, what I care about is whether you picked up brush and put paint to model. Every time you do, you get a little better. Every time you to, you accomplish creative outpourings. I love supporting that. Conveniently there were twelve entries this month, so I grabbed a d12, and the end result? This month’s Paint the Target winner is Dieson. Confirm your mailing address at your leisure, my friend! –  gdaybloke@losthemisphere.com

JANUARY CHALLENGE!

SHINY AND NEW! A whole new year, a whole new set of opportunities. I want you to think about painting projects you’d like to undertake this year, especially if it’s a brand new one, and kickstart the year with a model for that project. Alternatively, if you’ve received new models over the holidays, I want you to sink your metaphorical teeth into the packaging and knock out one of your new toys!

Send in your pics of newly painted shinies to submissions@losthemisphere.com by Noon EST, January28th. Deadline is deadline, people. Once more, one random participant will receive a little somethin’ somethin’ in the mail. You want somethin’? You gotta submit! Don’t forget to include your online handle! Oh, and if you can make the pics attachments to the emails rather than inline, that’d help me on the formatting end.
