Paint The Target

Did everyone survive? Is everyone still alive? It’s the day after Halloween! Last night was full of ghouls and goblins and for some reason my son running around with one of those rubber horse heads! Oh, the shenaniganry that occurs in the quest for candy… I’m a grown-up, dammit, there’s at always candy somewhere around my house. I don’t need no spooky holiday to get *my* sugar rush on! October’s Target was models that were spooky or in costume. Let’s see what people came up with!

SimonS gets our bones shaking with his Super Dungeon Explore chibi Shamble Priest!

TammyH is a panda after my own sweet tooth. Sugar Skulls and toffee apples!

The Twilight Sisters have a Dark Legacy… or is that the wrong way around?

Lostie Drew’s trying to help Death lose some weight… … what do you mean, that’s not what Thinner is for? Why am I drinking it then?!?

AshleyK’s Face Horror was actually buiilt on the original SDE Starfire dragon, now completely unrecognizable in its eerie creepiness.

49’s Night Goblin army needed something with a little more… oomph…

Arakius70 provides this month’s Malifaux entry, with Goryo and Seishin

AndrewM’s all aboard the Grymkin train. The Heretic, The Child, Dread Rots, a Hollow Man and a Gremlin trombonist!

One of my favourite entries this month, KellyF’s Ninja All Stars Kappa  is a stunning piece!

And PipcornG rounds out this month’s gallery with Super Dungeon Explore’s Scarecrow, though looking at that Scythe it looks like he’s brought his own crow with him…

Away out here they’ve got a name for rain and wind and fire. The rain is Tess, the fire’s Joe, and they call the wind the wind. Sometimes, though, it carries another name, and this month that name is AshleyK! Gratz, you win something from the LH Prize Pool! Send me an address at and I’ll get something in the mail for you!

As I was pondering what to make the November target, I looked over my painting desk and had a bunch of ideas rattle through my noggin, and then I thought back to a shirt I’d seen in a store earlier in the day, bearing the logo of a certain famous super hero family. That led me to ponder another character in their movie and her distaste for trailing, flowy garments. But, thought I, with the weather getting cooler here in the Northern Hemisphere, having something to wrap around you is a bloody good thing when it comes to avoiding the chill. Sod off, Edna Mode, November’s target is CAPES! I want to see Capes, Cloaks and Scarves! Wrapped around, blowing in the wind, whatever! Let’s fight the oncoming winter!

Send in your pics of newly painted shinies to by Noon EST, November 28th. Deadline is deadline, people. Once more, one random participant will receive a little somethin’ somethin’ in the mail. You want somethin’? You gotta submit! Don’t forget to include your online handle! Oh, and if you can make the pics attachments to the emails rather than inline, that’d help me on the formatting end.
