GenCon Photodump 4: Ninja Division

Okay, so Monday’s post was kinda half unboxing, half GenCon debriefing, but today it’s the official Photodump #4. Lost Hemisphere has a history of hassling the Ninja Division booth, and that’s in large part due to my fondness for their chibi models (Super Dungeon Explore, Ninja All Stars, Rail Raiders Infiniite). Sure, they produce other games too, but the chibis have my heart… Nevertheless I *did* try to talk about other things with Ninja Division’s John Cadice, such as the newly released Doomseeker, which we unboxed right before we headed off to GenCon.

And now you can see other Ninja Division things!

Museum Rush was also unleashed at GenCon…

Why, yes, I *would* like to sacrifice my sanity to cardboard rectangles…

Relic Knights was on display, and word is we’ll see it in our mailboxes soon…

I mean, there’s no Black Diamonds here, but I guess not every game can include their awesomeness…

Hey Drew, can you explain in laymans terms why chibi models are awesome? No? Ah well…

The Super Dungeon Masterclass resins were available, including the Gloomborn Champion and the Furious Fungomancer

Of course, one highlight of the booth was the Golden Kobold painting contest entries!

No!! That poor lawbot!

Taking pics through the cabinets is always irksome as the reflections muddy the image, but…

… do that voodoo that you do so well

I thought this Wizard of Oz diorama was a great idea! Though I would have thought the bricks would be yellow…

The Golden Kobold is open to chibi and cartoon scale models from all makers

Big trouble in chibi China!

From Hell’s heart I stab at thee!!!

Display models are always good times. I think Lostie Drew’s had his hand in this cabinet…

That moment when you realize a chibi pet dragon has prettier eyes than you do…

The customized toads are the best

The Gnomish Excavator, bringing crystalline boom!

When your Rock Singer is just the sweetest…

What? He’s a fun guy to hang out with…

Of course, I did get *some* new chibis to paint… and the first set of Super Dungeon cards for the Ninja All Stars models…

The Rock Singer is just so sweet… and can also summon a meteor strike, so read into that what you will.

The Pugilist may be my new favourite Super Dungeon hero… Punch, Punch, Punch! just seems like such a great attack, once you add some equipment that grants extra Strength dice, and she’s just bloody adorable. Love the band-aid on her cheek.

The Crystal Shaper comes with a little wall of crystals for her base. She also has beautifully sculpted armour than may make me cry when I try to paint it.

Hecate Vilehorn’s model is just fantastic, but she’s one of those models that it’s hard to find the golden angle for. I kept noticing little elements that I hadn’t seen before as I finally got to hold her in my hands.

And yes, I had to assemble her almost immediately… though why she’s on a small base when the Celestial Healer is on a large base, I’m not sure.

The Crystal Weaver – sure to be a counterpoint when I start using the Crystal Shaper – is going to take some test fitting, and will definitely be painted in separate components…

Finally, the Moon Kingdom’s clans begin to enter Crystalia. A handful of new heroes and minibosses, with Jorogumo herself as the main boss… Man, I can’t wait for Super Dungeon Legends to drop!

So much cuteness…
