I’ve done it! I’ve continued on my painting journey and stuck my guns. I’ve completed an entire battlebox and I am as happy as can be! It took some time because I am a bit of a slow painter, but I finished all four of my shredders to complete the Lylyth1 battlebox.
I started with basing my shredders, simply with Elmer’s glue and some sand. Typically, I would use spray paint to base the model, but this time I chose to hand paint it with P3 Thamar Black. For me, I find it easier to do this with the smaller models. I then dry brushed all four shredders with P3 Iron Grey. This is to give the muscle tones more definition.
Once that dried I worked on my scales. I used Citadel Liche Purple, then highlighted them with Citadel Warlock Purple. On Larger models I will follow that with a Citadel Leviathan Purple wash. I didn’t feel that was needed on the smaller shredders.
For the horns, teeth and claws, I do a four paint layer. I start with Citadel Scorched Brown, then Citadel Bestial brown, P3 Jack Bone, then lasty P3 Menoth White.
I like the wintry theme for my Legion, so for the base I paint it with Citadel Shadow Grey, then dry brush it with Citadel Space Wolves Grey. Once that is dried I flock it with some snow and I am finished!
As much fun as I had painting my little rabid tots, I was happy to have a little company with me. My brother, Thorn, just recently started learning Warmachine, and decided on Convergence. His girlfriend Shea was over as well and kept me company by painting her own little shredder. My brother is painting his first model as well, his Cipher. I am excited to have two new people join the painting frenzy! Thank you for keeping me company guys!
That’s all I have for this week. Next on the painting block, NERAPH! Thank you for reading ^_^
PAINT ON MY FELLOW PLAYERS!
I have to touch up the bases on them a bit, but overall, they are completed.
