Paint The Target: Nov Results, Dec Challenge

Once… Twice… Three times, a Lady… Well, no, back to twice, and let’s switch Lady for Weapons. November’s target was about dual wielding, models that are are totally doing embracing their role as engines of destruction, and bringing the beatdown from both sides.

Of course, this has me pondering whether any of the participants locked their models in a vice of some sort and attacked them with a paintbrush in each hand – ambidextripainting!

First out the gate this month we take to the skies with Valrus’ Razorwing Griffin. Flappy Flappy Slashy Slashy!

Okay, I said dual-wielding, not tri-wielding! Treville’s Iron Chef is ready to wok it like it’s hot.

Steve’s set to pop some mages with Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios

PlacidPlatypus’ darker, more malevolent Cygnaran Charger doesn’t even bother with the dual cannon, it just wants to beat you with its hammer.

Alright, technically the Mountain King isn’t holding any weapons at all, making it ineligible for the challenge, but heck, if NotThatOne wants to paint a Gargantuan as his entry, I have to respect the amount of work that went into it.

From Lonelymonk, Capt. Phinneas Shae and Bosun Grogspar are here to have words with you about internet piracy

Meanwhile, KevBryant will happily use Sgt Nicolas Verendrye and Acosta to beat up Lonelymonk’s entries if you pay him enough.

Of Course, Fiendil just had to have a super productive month with a selection of models from the Batman miniatures game, including an escapee modeled after Al Snow…

Coodlaty’s Charger is more reminiscent of Cygnar’s standard scheme, which just makes my inner Menite want to burn it all the more. FILTHY MORROWANS!

Ranny128 brings the Super Dungeon Explore this month with Zombie Survivor Marie-Claude

Finally, with blades dipped in the blood of kings, Adam has painted up Vladimir Tzepesci. Aren’t Khadoran surnames the best?

Alright, gathering around, kids, it’s that time. I’ve consulted the oracle, read the tea leaves, and called that octopus that kept predicting match winners in the World Cup. This month’s participation prize goes to: STEVE B! Holy crud, I don’t have to ship the prize to a different continent! 😉 Send me that address!

November’s challenge is seasonal. Here in the Northern Hemisphere we’ve got the weather turning colder, snow starting to accumulate in some places. I want to see models that would fit in. They can be dressed for the weather, or perhaps they have cold-based abilities granting them resilience, or perhaps they’re on the other wise of the coin and bring their own cozy fires with them, or maybe you can just green-stuff earmuffs onto a Farrow Brigand. The weather outside may be frightful, but your models can be toasty and warm!

Send in your pics of new shinies to by Noon EST, December 28th. Deadline is deadline, people. Once more, one random participant will receive a little somethin’ somethin’ in the mail. You want somethin’? You gotta submit! Don’t forget to include your online handle! Oh, and if you can make the pics attachments to the emails rather than inline, that’d help me on the formatting end. Bonza!
