Paint The Target

Vacation! Whoo! Who’s idea was that? It totally threw off the posting schedule! It’s a good thing some smart bloke announced the August challenge in his post about being away at Pennsic and GenCon. Having returned to the Gdaycave Monday night, your intrepid Lord of the Lost spent Tuesday celebrating the birthday of the youngest of his progeny, and now we have a (delayed) Target post to get things back on track. Photodumps are coming, but for now, on with the show! July’s target was Change of Pace – refresh your palate with something from a game or faction that you  hadn’t been working on for awhile (or ever!). What’d we get??

From Lost Legend Dicewraith we get… six Retribution models that probably, combined, took him about 45 minutes to paint. There’s speed painters, and then there’s this guy… 😉

KeyBryant decided to paint a real faction! The Khador battlebox is ready to rumble.

Metsuri’s holding up the chibi end of things with a Royal Paladin from Super Dungeon Explore. Loving the blues.

I’m pretty sure there was supposed to be a Wrong Eye in this one as well, but you’ll have to settle for Mr Chom’s Snapjaw.

NotThatOne stepped away from both his Trolls and his Guild Ball to bring us some purple pigs carrying a jar of grape jelly.

BLACK DIAMONDS! I still need to paint my Codebreaker… Ranny128 beat me to it.

Finally, Shadowsword751’s Legion of Everblight battlegroup rounds out the bunch.

A quiet month this time around – only 7 entries – but suchs is the way of things when we’re spending our Summers with friends and loved ones and attending conventions. This month’s participation prize goes to: NOTTHATONE !! I will send him some of the things and a bit of the stuff. Send me that mailing address!

FULL METAL JACKET! As always, interpret it as you will. Heavy armour! Heavy ammunition! Break out the tanks, people!

Send in your pics of newly painted shinies to by Noon EST, August 28th. Deadline is deadline, people. Once more, one random participant will receive a little somethin’ somethin’ in the mail. You want somethin’? You gotta submit! Don’t forget to include your online handle! Oh, and if you can make the pics attachments to the emails rather than inline, that’d help me on the formatting end.
