October 1st was over the weekend! You know what that means! It’s time for a new Paint The Target gallery! Another month in the can, another 28 days (give or take) during which you could have raided your pile of unpainted models in search of something that fit with September’s appointed theme, Small Wonders. Models that assist, support, or are otherwise … well, small. As usual we don’t care how you justify the entry, the point (as always) is simply to get you painting!
Primal Poodle’s been doing a lot more than just writing Fear of Retribution for our Fiction Tuesdays… he apparently painted a thing. Mainspring, the mascot for the Engineers in Guild Ball!
Ranny128 brings back memories with Azrael’s Watcher In The Dark. Ah, Dark Angels… I haven’t played 40K since the late 90’s…
Treville2001 cracks out my favourite Black Diamond model for Relic Knights, the M8 Blitz Auto Tank! Happy little robot! It trundles around shooting pesky opponents so the rest of its cadre can get on with completing the mission!
Yes, he’s enormous, but let’s face it: Despoiler’s just a giant puppy following Mordikaar around and trying to make his warlock happy. Think of him as a cross between an eager beagle and Igor from Young Frankenstein. TyrantMithras clearly does.
BigD took the “small” part of “small wonders” literally and painted up his entire mob of Pyg Burrowers.
Okay, I’m not sure how Dieson interpreted the Small Wonders theme to work for the Kayazy Eliminators… I don’t think they really count as small or support models… maybe they’re wearing support undergarments?
And if Dieson was off base with the Eliminators, Fragelrock’s Elara2 is definitely off the reserve… except, I guess you can say she supports her Myrmidons through Convection and Boundless Charge? I got nuthin’….
From Lonelymonk, we have Joln Rockbottom, who makes every damn Sea Dog a pain in the proverbial to deal with.
NinjaSteve is committed to the Empire, even if his Stormtrooper can’t hit the broad side of a Bantha
Around the bardic circle, Lady Emer chants and sings the songs of ancient times. The howling of the wolf rings throughout the mountains, and this month’s participation prize goes to: PRIMAL POODLE!! I will send him some of the things and a bit of the stuff. Send me that mailing address! firstname.lastname@example.org
PUMPKIN SPICE SPOOKTOBER! Time to get seasonal. Let’s see models that are spooky and scary. Let’s see models that are autumnal. Let’s see models in ugg boots and denim jackets as they prepare for the colder months that are on the way. If you can make a link to the Fall or to Halloween or to falling leaves, I want to see it.
Send in your pics of newly painted shinies to email@example.com by Noon EST, October 28th. Deadline is deadline, people. Once more, one random participant will receive a little somethin’ somethin’ in the mail. You want somethin’? You gotta submit! Don’t forget to include your online handle! Oh, and if you can make the pics attachments to the emails rather than inline, that’d help me on the formatting end.
