Paint The Target

What-ho, painters! We’re hard-bitten, tough-as-nails! Glass jaws are something that happens to other people! The Target for May was to paint models that can take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’.  Let’s stroll through the gallery…

The Mutant Hill Mob – complete with members in armored vests – are the crew of the Bulletproof Bomb. Fiendil *says* they’re for Gaslands, but we all know their involved in races of the Wacky variety.

Admuscat’s Exocrine is covered in chitinous plates sturdy enough to deflect boltgun shells.

From the table of Drew Drescher, Kingdom Death’s Dung Beetle Knight. Exquisite as always.

Dr Q made his own mini this month, a Tortle Maitre’d converted from one of Super Dungeon Explore’s Rocktop Gang. You can read about it at https://drqohelet.wordpress.com/2019/05/18/tortle-maitre-d/

KevinC is fighting for the future of Middle Earth’s glorious facial hair.

The Strike Tanker is one of the pinnacles of personal armour to come of the Khadoran Empire. MarkS is well shielded.

PeteF may have shrunk his submission photo a bit too far… but Madrak, Great Chieftain, is certainly tough enough to qualify.

TACPainting decided we needed a full unit of Warmongers, supported by Gorag Rotten-Eye. This is the point when I point out the gorgeous DragonForge resin bases, and where I don’t make a joke about Gorag’s twin, Borag Stink-Eye.

Wallorspin’s Yellow Iosans are back! Destors for days!

MAY WINNER!

All sorts of projectiles bouncing off of his rock-solid paintjob, this month’s winner is TACPainting! Gratz, sir! Drop me an email your mailing address so I can send you a thing!

JUNE CHALLENGE!

I won’t go into what inspired June’s target because it’s kind of weird, but your mission, should you wish to accept it, is to paint a model that would make a dentist’s eyes glisten. Your June target is TEETH! Gaping maws filled with sharp, pointy fangs, or even a simple smile with pearly whites – your models must all be displaying teeth of one sort or another. Yes, I can see how you’d stretch this to include gears. If it gets you painting, I’ll allow it.

Send in your pics of newly painted shinies to submissions@losthemisphere.com by Noon EST, June 28th. Deadline is deadline, people. Once more, one random participant will receive a little somethin’ somethin’ in the mail. You want somethin’? You gotta submit! Don’t forget to include your online handle! Oh, and if you can make the pics attachments to the emails rather than inline, that’d help me on the formatting end.
