Paint The Target

Given that July’s Target was Hair, this would be a good time to launch into song with some lyrics from the classic musical, but as ancient a being as I am, while I am familiar with a number of Broadway hits I don’t actually know anything from Hair. Consider yourself spared.

Entries were light this month, I’m sure because so many of you were busy with socially distanced Summer adventures or super swamped at work as the world opens up again. I know I’ve been swamped! Let’s take a peek at this month’s submissions…

Wallorspin’s signature yellows are contrasted nicely with the deep blue of Issyria’s jacket. The fuschia hair is a bonus.

KrrNiGit decided to interpret the theme as -facial- hair, and as every Ogor Maneater knows, a well-groomed beard is key to getting the best haunches.

Lonelymonk went all out with a full squad of Satyxis raiders, collectively responsible for the shortage of leave-in conditioners in the Scharde Isles.

Lostie Ben felt a chill and rode out the Snow Storm. So, furry forearms, legs, face… but only a central fur strip down the torso? That’s some chilly nips right there.

JULY WINNER!

Maybe they’re born with it. Maybe it’s Lonelymonk. So sayeth the d4! Usual drill, email me your mailing address and we’ll get something on the way to you next time we’re at the post office.

AUGUST CHALLENGE!

I know Ben just painted a big model, but it made me happy to see it, so I think we’re going to run with the idea. No, not necessarily big models, but I want to see centerpiece models. Models that draw the eye as you look across  your army (or miniature cabinet, or pile of shame). Let’s see some focal centerpieces.

Send in your pics of newly painted shinies to submissions@losthemisphere.com by Noon EST, August 28th. Deadline is deadline, people. Once more, one random participant will receive a little somethin’ somethin’ in the mail. You want somethin’? You gotta submit! Don’t forget to include your online handle! Oh, and if you can make the pics attachments to the emails rather than inline, that’d help me on the formatting end.
